Crescent Mummy Dogs

A great Halloween treat from Pillsbury! You can add cheese as well, but I left that out. You can also use mini dogs for a cute app as well.

Colored Cutouts

I recently saw some very cute cutout cookies  and knew I wanted to make some with my new pumpkin cutter. I decided to dye the dough three different shades of orange and make cute pumpkin shortbread cookies. I used my shortbread recipe and the directions and idea from Stephanie cooks!

Fried Potatoes dressed up for Halloween!

This can be done with basic slices of potatoes, I cut these with small cookie cutters for a fun Halloween meal!  Can be done for any holiday or party in whatever shape you prefer!
I also cut this recipe in half for just the two of us!

Another hit from Cook’s Illustrated. The buttercream is from Annie’s Eats…soooo GOOD!
ENJOY!

Makes three 8-inch cakes.   Published March 1, 2000.
Regular, or natural, cocoa like Hershey’s can be used with good results, though the cakes will bake up a bit drier, redder, and with slightly less chocolate flavor.
