Cabernet Sauce for Vanilla Ice Cream

A great impressive dessert from Bon Appetit July 09 issue. I needed a last minute dessert but didnt have time to whip up a cake or torte as I wanted. I did remember this recipe and even as skeptical as I was, this ended up being a fabulous ice cream topper, esp when paired with [...]

Caesar Salad Dressing

I love a Caesar salad with any Italian meal. For some reason the dressing and the romaine lettuce is a great side to a great Italian dish and this was perfect! I found this recipe on Food Network’s site and I like how deeply flavorful it was. This is much better than any bottled dressing [...]

Cheesy Pretzels with spicy cheese dipping sauce

For our Stanley Cup Playoff nights, we like to have a bunch of snacks rather than a full meal. As one of the snacks, H asked for soft pretzels and cheesy dipping sauce. I have made them once before, but didnt particularly find the recipe to come out well. The first few pretzels were good, [...]

Tender Lettuce Salad

I love a great, light salad to pair with a great meal. This salad was easy to throw together and was just right for our Roasted Salmon meal. This would pair well with any fish or light chicken recipe and would be good with shrimp or chicken tossed with it. I found this recipe in [...]

Roasted Salmon with Herbed Yogurt

I had recently gotten my Everyday Food monthly magazine, and this recipe jumped out at me instantly. So, with guys coming to dinner, I knew this [...]
