Wow, this looks fantastic! We have friends who are always taunting us with tales of their home-baked bread, but the whole yeast — rising — resting — *thing* was always so daunting. We usually get our artisan bread from Panera or one of the local supermarkets (and most of our everyday bread from one of the many bakeries in our area which make Italian or Portuguese-Italian bread) but this looks amazingly easy to make. We even have all the ingredients! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Hi, I’m intrigued by this, but I was just wondering why the applesauce is so dark as compared to the ones you get at the store.
