Epcot Center’s Food and Wine Fest!Posted: September 29, 2008
What a delicious and fun day at Disney World. Each year in the World Showcase, Epcot Center hosts the Food and Wine Festival. Foods, wines, and beers from all over the world are tested and enjoyed. In the spring, Epcot also hosts the California Wine and Food Fest. Check them both out!
Here are a few pictures of our favorite eats at the fest:
From Spain a chilled tomato and garlic soup, with seared tuna loin with spicy red pepper coulis on top of garlic-her ciabatta. I loved the tuna, but not so much the soup. H loved them both, but I am not a fan of tomato soup in general!
From Cape Town South Africa, we enjoyed this Bobotie with Mango Chutney. I absolutely loved this dish. Sweet and savory. H had tried this dish before on travel, but was delighted to find it tasted just like the one he had in South Africa in the past!
From Wellington, New Zealand we enjoyed a lamb slider with a kiwi meringue tartlet. The tartlet was sweet, but just the right amount of tart to enjoy it. The lamb was very tender and the sauce wasnt too heavy or salty. Both were great!
And finally our last favorite of the day was the baklava from Turkey. We like this type of baklava better since it uses pistachios instead of walnuts. When I make baklava here at the house, I always use pistachios as it gives it a better, deeper, sweeter flavor!
Have a MAGICAL DAY!
