Chocolate Chip Cookie BrowniesPosted: March 9, 2009 | |
The title says it all….YUM. I saw this recipe on Bakerella a while back and have been dying to make these. I did find using from scratch brownies and chocolate chip cookie recipes do work, but as she suggests, using the box mixes works just fine. Whatever you have time for, but definitely make these! The chocolate ganache on top was an added bonus!
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup water
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipes from Nestle-I liked using this recipe of the Chewy by Alton Brown as I didnt want too thick of a cookie and a great cookie taste!
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
6 Tbsp butter
Mix brownies as directed and pour into a 9×13 pan. Mix cookies and drop rounded tablespoons onto brownies. (Click link to see pic). Press cookie dough in a bit. Bake at 350 for 35-40 mins. Let completely cool. If you have extra cookie dough left, you can freeze it.
Make ganache and pour over brownies. Let ganache settle and firm up. Dont cut until it has had time to rest. Once the ganache is set, cut and enjoy!
