Another burger hit to kick off our weekend! These burgers were full of all kinds of healthy ingredients and were super flavorful! I found this recipe on Food Network site from Bobby Flay. I am also submitting this to Joelen’s Burger Bunday weekly burger round-up!! Burgers dont have to be boring..Have fun dressing them up!
Ingredients: Enough for two
2 -1/4-1/2 lbs very lean gr beef burgers
cheese-American, Mozzarella, Monterrey Jack, or Cheddar slices
1 minced jalapeno
juice of one lime
1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
salt and pepper
Heat grill. Once heated oil grates as needed. Season burgers with s and p and grill burgers. In the meantime, make avocado spread and slice tomatoes. Avocado spread:He mixes 2 chopped Hass avocados with 1/2 diced small onion, 1 minced jalapeno, the juice of 1 lime, 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro, and salt and pepper. When burgers are almost done, top with cheese. Once melted, top burger with a bit of the avocado spread, tomato and watercress. Serve immediately!
