Healthy Turkey Meatballs

Trying to eat healthier especially when visiting my folks, I came across this recipe for turkey meatballs. What I liked about it was it was low in sodium. My mom can’t have much sodium anymore, so this recipe was perfect for her esp when craving pasta. I served it with a simple low sodium, no sugar garlic and veggie marinara and whole wheat pasta. It was fabulous. I found this recipe on Spark Recipes.

Ingredients:
1 lb pound turkey
1 egg
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
splash of Worcestershire sauce
dried italian herbs to taste
cooking spray (optional)

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Season to taste. Roll into 2 ounce balls and bake at 375 for 25 minutes (or until 170 degrees internally). For better browning, spray each meatball with cooking spray prior to cooking.

Serve with sauce and noodles.
