I love, love, love Chicken Ala King but with its high fat and calorie count, I shy away from it. Until now…Clean Eating Magazine’s Chicken Ala King recipe was great. It made for a perfect meal when paired with a mixed greens salad and fruit or a great quick lunch. Nothing more comforting than a creamy, warm chicken dish and this is just that!!
This is great as a wrap or over brown rice or ww pastas!
1 1/2 lb Chicken Breast (boneless,skinless)
1/2 cup Onions, Diced
1 package Sliced White Mushrooms
1 cup Diced Carrots
1 cup Frozen Peas
3 tbsp Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup Milk-1%
8 piece Whole Wheat Tortilla
1 cup Fat Free Reduced Sodium Chicken Broth
Cube chicken. Saute in pan spritzed with olive oil.
The cook 5 min. set aside and use same pan to spritz with evoo spray and cook carrots, mushrooms and onions. Cook 5 min. and add peas.
Cook 3 more minutes.
Add broth, milk and flour and add salt and pepper to taste and cook until thickened.
Serve on tortillas and wrap up to eat.
